Earlier this year we updated Sentinels Sidekick for iOS with support for Definitive Edition and Sentinels of Earth-Prime. At the time it was our goal to update Sentinels Sidekick for Android with the same improvements. Unfortunately, after investigating the required changes to modernize and upgrade the app to the latest Android OS versions, we have made the hard decision to retire the app on Android instead. The app will be removed from sale on Google Play and Amazon Appstore on Oct 31, 2022.
If you already own it, your copy of Sentinels Sidekick on Android will continue to work. We are aware that there is an outstanding issue with downloading artwork packs (caused by changes in Android OS) - if this affects you, let us know and we'll refund your purchases of those.
We understand that many of you will be disappointed with this news. We do not have a developer on staff with the expertise to maintain a fully native Android app, and Sidekick does not generate enough revenue to justify prioritizing it. If you have such expertise and are interested in maintaining the app on a volunteer/revenue share basis, please let us know and perhaps we can keep Sidekick around on Android!
