As promised, we’re continuing to add more powers to your favorite Sidekick. Version 1.3 has been released on Google Play and Amazon Appstore, and it includes several requested features!
Potent notables
Sidekick now tracks more than just hit points! You can tap on any card and add notes to keep track of effects like damage increases, immunity, or whatever you like. There’s a gesture shortcut too: double tap to get to editing notes quickly.
Notes will be automatically saved with your game, so you can leave the app and come back without fear. You can leave notes on heroes, villains, environments, or target cards. If you write more than will fit on the card, you can scroll the notes display with your finger.
Catch you on the flip side
Card flipping is a big part of Sentinels of the Multiverse, and it’s now fully supported in Sentinels Sidekick for Android. Tap a villain to bring up the menu and flip them over; their hit points will be adjusted if applicable. For example, when you flip Baron Blade, he’s restored to 30 HP. On Android tablets, you can use a swipe gesture or the flip button so it’s even quicker.
Heroes and character target cards (like The Operative) will flip over to become incapacitated when they reach 0 HP. To remove them or recover them back to the front side, just tap for the menu.
As you can see in the screenshot, we’ve included flip side artwork for all heroes and villains in the Enhanced Edition. Losing never looked so good!
Bits and pieces
We’ve also added a few more little features to continue making the Android version of Sidekick better. You can now tap and hold to change HP continuously, and there are new settings to show all heroes in portrait (tablet only) and change the order of target cards.
Coming soon: a dish best served cold
Many of you will be happy to hear that the next version of Sentinels Sidekick for Android will feature the latest expansion: Vengeance!
We’re also working on other key features including a custom effects keyboard, downloadable artwork packs for the expansions, and more.
We can’t promise exactly when the next update will be ready, but we’re working on it as you read this!
As always, let us know what you think in the comments, on Twitter, or on Facebook!
