Greetings Handelabranauts! We have something really special to show you today. One of the things that we’re working on to make Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Video Game awesome is fully realized 3D environments. Today we’re going to show you a first look at one - the primordial Insula Primalis.
Located north of the Arctic Circle, and heated by hydrothermal vents and a huge active volcano, Insula Primalis is a true lost world. The rock face encircling the island has kept it completely isolated, allowing flora and fauna to thrive within its walls despite falling extinct millions of years ago across the rest of the globe.
What you see here is a first look at our work in progress. We’re still working on making it just right, along with the rest of the environments, but we knew you’d want to see it. Take special note of the roaming dinosaurs and indigenous flora that will make life difficult not only for our heroes, but also for the villains.
But this isn’t just about the visuals. Put on headphones or turn up your speakers to hear the original “Insula Primalis Theme”, composed by our very own Jean-Marc Giffin. This music truly sets the tone for the battles that will play out and build towards the volcanic eruptions that replenish the ever-present obsidian fields.
But that’s not all! If you like what you see here and would like to see more, we’re happy to announce that Handelabra will be at Gen Con 2014 (Friday afternoon through Sunday), showing off the very first public look at gameplay! Just head to the Greater Than Games booth, and look for the red shirt and Handelabra Games logo for an exclusive first look at Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Video Game. There may even be a surprise for those that do, we hope to see you there!
